Based on these interviews, I have learned that my classmates have different needs based on their personalities. some need very little changes at all, while others need changes that could take months or years to make. I learned that overall, the most important change that needs to be made is communication. Teachers need to ask students more questions, and students need to speak more freely to teachers. Nothing will change for the better if students continue to feel too nervous to speak to their teachers. During my interviews I heard more than once that students did not feel comfortable or close enough to their teachers to speak to them. Some students feel that they are stuck in classes that are not well suited for them. This could be solved with a revaluation of the criteria for high school and college diplomas. This would require the topic of prerequisites to be revisited. The question would be how many are really necessary, and why?
